Pumpkins,sweetcorn,garden

The farm,garden,driveway

This year we have added to our gardening. We put in strawberries and raspberries. We had 3 old cane produce for us yeah, so that was nice to get a few raspberries this year. Next year we will get both!
also the grass we put in down the middle of the back half of the driveway has filled in, mowing it and looking good.

The deer

I was looking out our back patio and there was the mama deer running down the side of the yard by the trees, and then came bambi one and two. Isnt it fun to live in SD!

Pickled Beets

This year I grew a lot of beets but, the deer found them in the big

"The Bird Feeder"

Gramma Lueck and me... eating at the "Bird Feeder" in Twin Brooks, SD In the picture you can see behind us a evergreen tree decorated and shelves. They have new and used items and all sorts of decorations and everything for sale.

The ladies we went with are left Irene, from Manitoba,Canada and Tammy from church.
Tammy invited us to go with her and her friend and we are so glad we did.

Here is a picture of the food. (I know its too close but I posted it anyway.)
Everything you see on the plates are home made. My sandwich was made with cranberry bread, never had it but it was good. The chips were,a spinach they other corn. The Food was as good as it looks! The presentation beautiful! It was so fun a very slow paced lunch. This is definitely a place we will go again. You even got dessert which gramma loved, she had (home made) peach pie. I had the coconut cream yum, yum.

Gramma Lueck"s 87th Birthday

I know this looks like a pathetic Birthday Cake, but it is Carrot Cake which she wanted. We had a potluck so used half and made into bars for that (took care of two deserts at the same time). Beside we just don't eat a whole cake anymore. At least she got what she wanted, Right?
